jungle carpet python enclosure

I have an adult male jcp. I purchased an entertainment center that has free standing sides one of which will be his new home. I need some way to cover the wood on the inside. I am thinking about a glass front and possibly have a glass side that will open for cleaning. The back will have holes drilled into it for ventilation. There will be a wire framed top for heat as well. I don't know what to line the insde with to avoid excess moisture damaging the wood. Also, I need to be able to seal whatever goes along the interior. I thought about making an actual plexi glass box that will fit into the allowed area. Any thoughts?

I think the acrylic box is overkill since you already have the structure of the entertainment center. One thing that a lot of Green Tree Python keepers use to line MDF and melamine is Contact Paper or other self-adhesive shelf liner. Some cages have held up for over ten years.

Is it wood or some sort of faux wood covering? If it's real wood you could also use epoxy. If it's faux wood epoxy may not stick.

You could also try shower board. available at home depot. Cheaper than plywood thinner and lighter. Sealed with a waterproof caulking it would cleanup very easily. I have used it in backs and other applications and works great. I have also used the contact paper and it works great as well.
