Congratulations on the clutch, they look good. Sorry to hear about the albino granite. That would be my luck, the one double morph is dead in the egg.

ya that was a bummer. Hope to produce a few next year though. I'm sure I will. I picked the pair of double hets from a buddy of mine back in Sept. they were low on the weight so she had a small clutch of 25. I'm already pounding her with rabbits so she will have some good weight for this breeding season.

Ahh, yeah. I see 'em now. Nice clutch Ronnie!

At least you got one albino granite. They all look good 'n healthy, too.

If you're basing the dead one as being albino due to the lack of dark pigment (melanin), it may not be. The reason I say that is I think (but not 100% sure) that melanin shows up a little later in the lifecycle, gradually.

Last year I had a preemie that died at 5 weeks in the egg (5 wks after being laid). The melanin was visible on its sides but had just started coming in on its back. I suspect that baby of yours was 2 - 3 weeks old when it died.

Here's a few pics of the preemie I had last year.

Take it easy!
