Frank Sinatra said it best. Well I had HIGH hopes this season for a couple of pairings but I have been let down so far by the BP Gods. The first was I bred a spider 100% Het ghost to a ghost female she laid six nice big eggs well they pipped yesterday and I got 3 spider 100% het ghosts and 3 normal 100% het ghosts OUCH!! Then I have a ghost female bred to mojave poss het ghost well she was due to lay 2 weeks ago and still nothing she did drop me a little something 2 tiny tiny duds that may have been from last season. She doesnt seem to be in any discomfort and yes I KNOW she still has the eggs inside her but I dont know what to do about that. Then for the last one which isnt so bad yet but its a bad omen the way things have been going I bred the same spider het ghost male to a 100% het ghost female she laid 8 monster eggs well one I fought with for weeks to try to keep it from molding but I lost the battle (thats the bad omen) but I still have 7 good eggs left Im keeping my finges crossed for at least one honeybee in the clutch. Here are a few pics of the ghost girl and her clutch that just hatched. Thanks for looking

Sorry to here about your situation. Hopefuly you will pull something off with the next clutch. A HONEY BEE would make it all better. I can't wait to produce one myself.

Are you sure the spider male s a het ghost? I know you could miss the odds with six eggs, but you should have got a ghost.

Damian... another possibility is the two Ghost genes you have are not compatible. Is the Spider het ghost from the same bloodline of ghost as the female?

On a positive note you now have 3 Spiders het ghost and three het ghost!

Hey guys thanks for the positive reinforcement, Oz that's one point I thought of that maybe they aren't compatible lines. Mike Im sure its a spider het ghost I got him from a real big name breeder that I spoke with after the eggs hatched and he reassured me that he produced the male. And Matt Im hoping to hit the odds on this other clutch and I wil see you in Daytona. Thanks again guys
