Is this female a YB? She has the side blushings, the "crown" on her head, shes got the mixed up checkerd patterns on her belly, and some of her dorsal scales are even yellow... I got her a pet store hoping that she was infact a YB. Just looking for a second opinion. Sorry about the quality of the pics my camera sucks.

The belly is wrong, and I don't see the typical flames on the sides..

sorry, it's just a nice normal.

when you see a real YB you will notice the difference immeadiately. the belly with the speckles is what can easily seperate them apart.

Hi, Do you have a pic you can post from above? I have t agree that it is not likely a YB, but the belly is a little odd. Am I seeing yellow scales on the belly in the picture? Origin? God Bless, Lee

I don't have any more pic's other than the ones above... shes dose have quite a lot of yellow scales all along the bottom of the belley from tail to head. I thought it was odd as well thats why I got her thinking that she was a YB. She was also $25 and is about 600g so I figured it was a good buy even if she was a norm.

Shoot $25 and 600g WOOFTA cheap is right. Not sure if it is anything or not. EVERYTHING is genetic the question is whether or not it is worth breeding for. I do know of one person that bought a normal male from a pet shop to breed to his 50% poss het pied female and has managed to produce 6 pieds from that pair!! Yep the poss het was actually 100% het and the "normal male was 100% het and no one knew it. PERSONALLY, I am not that lucky!! YB males are really cheap nowadays might just get one to see what shows up. Maybe there is something there maybe NOT!! Worst case scenario you still get YBs because of the male. Could come up with the next "whatchamacallit ball". pic is my male pied produced from a ("nice normal" x 50% het pied breeding) Lee <
