I picked them up from Joe Ferreira off the classifieds last year. Yes they are a breeding pair, Eventualy. I wanting to pair the male up with one of my adult female balls this season. Thats why I asked in an earlier post on the breeding age of a male. Thanks for the compliments. They are pretty calm to boot, now. They are some hogs for sure.

So how old is your pair? And what do you call the progeny of a blood/ball pairing? (I'm not sure I've seen any of those.)

They were early 07 baby's. The combo makes a super ball. Their was one for sale on the classifieds.

That super ball is an interesting looking snake. Do people cross the two different pythons just for the fun of it, or are there specific benefits to the blood/ball cross (such as better temperament or something...)? Are the offspring fertile?

Renee, I'm sure of everone else but I'm going to try and cross them just to see if I can ( and my snakes ) can do it. I read that usually not all the eggs in the clutch from the cross will be good. Thats the chance ya have to take. I would think the off spring would be fertile. If your into the hybrid thing check out Hybrid Haven Forums. Lot of cool stuff their. Like I said though, if you are into the hybrid thing. I know some people don't care for the hybrids but I do.
