European Ladder Snake ' Burst Egg'

souix Jun 18, 2008 07:23 PM

Being very vocal and telling the world about being a momma

In the photo you may be able to some gunky yellow stuff, this was an egg that burst when she was laying it. Never had this happen before, and kinda freaked me for a second when I looked in as I thought it was a tape worm LOL

Two weeks after being laid and looking good. Have cleaned it up some now and removed the rotting end and dusted it with some athletes foot powder to keep the fungi in check.

Cheers for Looking

Um... i know my 1 egg was fertile... really gross... blood and slime everywhere. And then the egg after that was good and then she stopped... i assumed she was done. a few days later i went to feed her and she had 2 little lumps towards her tail. Very hard slugs were pushed out... i dont even know how to explain... they were already popped like and had holes but it was like a calcium egg... make sense?? My 2 friends i believe theirs were slugs that popped. but its weird... i've never heard of this stuff before this year... I just hope next year is better!!!

Sue:
Good luck with that weak egg. I'll bet it does very well.
