This is the first ever Lavender Albino Redfoot Tortoise. It hatched out from normal looking parents and I have no idea who mom or dad is? It has one totally normal looking sib. Thanks for looking Douglas Beard / Flora & Fauna

Wow!!! That is amazing! Are the eyes pink? Thanks for making my day and giving me hope that I might get a surprise!
The eyes are blue with red pupils! I am still trying to get a pict of that. I may need a better photographer! LOL If only Celia Chen was down here. Thanks Douglas
HAHA! That's an awesome looking tortoise Doug! If you can bring it to the show in a couple of weeks, I'll be happy to try to take some photos of it
See ya soon!

Congrats Doug,
Was wondering what you had up your sleeve as I had seen your post a while back promising something special. Very nice looking tortoise. Too bad you don't know who the parents are for sure. I sent you a message on turtletimes concerning my need of a male Paraguayan Cherry head as we discussed at Tinley Park. Drop me a line when you get a chance. Looking forward to more pics of this awesome little tortoise.
Take care,

Fantastic little tortoise! Great work, Doug. With some luck, maybe another one (or more) of these will hatch this coming year and you can start a group. I would definitely KEEP the sibling, and if the two turn out to be different sexes, breed them to each other to see whether the sibling is carrying this gene.

Thanks for the kind remarks. I do certainly plan on keeping the sib. I do hope to produce another one or two in the next couple of years. I will certainly pay more attention to who lays what and try to figure out at least who the mother is. Thanks Douglas Beard
Is there any type of blood/DNA work that could I.D.the parents.Vic
