I keep mine in roomy tanks with plenty of room so overhead spotlight heats up one side of the tank without heating the whole tank. I just lay it on tank screen top in light dome.

I mention this just incase your enclosure wont allow the snake to escape the heat than go with UTH (I like Cobra brand HATE zoo med UTH)

Either way I like Black night bulbs I noticed the snakes were out more with them they seemed to notice the red light the black they ignored .

I no longer use any extra heat as live in Florida and room I keep them I just close ac vents unless mid summer but used to live in the frosty North but used overhead heat for 2 yrs.
I like 85 to 90 in hot side after they eat but other than that 85 CA kings like it warm but I know very little compared to others here they might disagree . I only have experience with 4 Snakes and never bred any plus only have had oldest 1 3 years.

Ofcourse they have to have a cooler side I found 70s was fine . I didnt change it for day/night

Albino animals are sensitive to bright light, so I'd just use the red light. I've been using red lights for years without any problems. I'd create a "hot spot" in the mid to upper 80s and have a cooler area in the cage in the low to mid-70s.
