I just ordered a new garter snake today!I couldn't pass it up,it is advertised as a red sided but,it looks more like a red spotted to me!I don't really care though, whatever it is I plan to get a mate for it.I'll try to post pics tomorrow! Jeff

Jeff, that is a handsome snake.

Very nice. I have seen the ad and have asked for some pictures. I want a pair but would like to see the pair I would get. They declined and said they have no individual pictures. I didn't want to chance getting an ugly one. Dan shipping costs too much!
Although, you ended up with a super nice animal. I mght have to rethink my stratigy!

Make sure when you get these snakes you quarintine them and get them vet checked. These snakes are sitting together with about fifty other snakes.Who knows what they are carrying.I saw them at a show last weekend.I was tempted but I had a bad experience with wholesalers before.I quarintined a snake for four months in troduced it to my collection. It got sick right away and killed the rest of my snakes within a few weeks.13 adults died total.

Thanks Tom. I had not given that much thought to it but that is excellant advise. It sucks that you lost so many snakes but maybe your bad luck will help others (like me).

Thanks again

Steve

Gorgeous garter Jeff. I was going to order from the place you picked up your garter, but they never replyed to my email. Oh well. You got a beauty. Those Oregon Red-spots are high on my list.
