With the soaring temps here in Los Angeles lately, I tried using cold packs in the cages to drop the temp in areas. I wrapped them in a sock and placed it on 1 of the hides in each cage.
the ambient temp was 86 and the temp in the hide was 74. And I even saw a couple of them scaling across the packs.
Now if I can find colored socks to match each snake,,,lol

Cool (literally)! Where'd you get the coldpacks from? You think L.A.'s sick w/ the heat, try 110F here in Chatsworth!!! What part of L.A. are you in?

Hey...I am in West Hollywood. I got some of the cold packs from work. I work at a seafood restaurant and the fish from Hawaii comes with them. The others I got at CVS. They were in the outdoor/bbq area. Very cheap....I wish I could find a body size one for me. I am heading out to Reptile Depot on Monday in Chatsworth. Hope it is cooler....
