Disappointed in NC show

AggieCS_31 Sep 01, 2003 10:00 PM

I went to the show in Raleigh, NC this past weekend and was a little let down. I was hoping to see some of these gorgeous morphs ive seen pics of on here, and i only saw ONE pastel. Thats it. I'm actually in the market for a reduced(if i could afford one) but there wasn't one there. Actually, there wasnt much of anything there. I actually saw a display with a severly dehydrated tiger retic which looked like it was about to die any second. And they were still trying to sell it in the shape it was in. I know NC is not a big show, but I still kind of expected more. Im hoping next year will be better. I hope anyone else who went saw the same stuff I did. Hope i didnt offend anyone.

When did you get to the show? First thing Sat. morning there was a baby albino ball from Ben Siegel and someone else had a ghost and het ghost for sale along with the pastel. I came away with a beautiful, although mean as hell 1200g female ball.

I saw the Albino Baby for like $2200 right? I was expecting a little more to be there but I was pretty happy. I drove away with a brand new Ball and Red Blood for $100 total.

I went to the show and came home with a couple new balls. I bought 1.1 Phantoms, 1.0 Yellow Ghost, 1.2 Unproven Mojavee, 1.4 Very unusaul balls that I hope to prove one day. I also saw another ghost, one albino, another unproven mojavee, and many other nice balls. You have to ask around because they dont always have everything on the table.

Do you have pictures yet of the Phantoms or unproven Mojaves? Where the Phantoms actual descendents of Ralph Davis' female? I’m interested in what all is being identified with these names and what criteria is used.

Thanks!

I did see the table with about 10 hets for sale. But I was really wanting to see some of the higher end morphs(mojaves, pieds, etc...) and i didnt see any. I wasn't saying the show wasnt interesting, it just didnt have what I wanted to see. I got to the show around noon, so i was a little late on saturday. It was also my first actual show, so I didnt know what to look for...I guess next time ill ask to see more...
