babies showing dark stomachs

GoodSmeagol Jun 20, 2008 11:21 PM

I have had my new baby for about 4 days now
she eats well
however she does not lighten up to her true colors except at night.
My temps range from 85-111
Tile floor, 6 sq ft.
MVB bulb, same as I use on my other yearlings.

My other dragons never got sretssed from moving, but this girl is still really dark, with the dark patterns on her belly.
any ideas why shes still stressed/dark?
i have half covered the front of her cage with a sheet, to give her more privacy, but shes still dark until about 10 min after lights out

any ideas?
I dont hold her yet....

If you have a large basking area you could make it so that part is 115, with somewhat cooler areas to choose from also. If she is always in the warmest part then the temps. are most likely too low. Otherwise I wouldn't worry too much if she is eating well and pooping regularly.

eating some where bwteen 20-40 1/4's a day, 3 or 4 small piles of greens, and 2-3 poops a day, solid formed masses, white chunk at the end.
The breeder recomended I remove all decorations even the ramp, I will try that tomorrow.
Thanks
