This crazy little ghost hatched out today. I've been working on creating a vanishing pattern ghost, and while this isn't what I'm shooting for as an end result, it's still pretty cool.

That is a very cool looking snake!! That vanishing pattern looks like it can add a lot fun to any breeding project.

Thanks Tim & Ralph. I appreciate the tips on getting the colors to come out better. I'll try some outside shaded areas to bring out the yellow on the butter motley.

Steve,

If you're going to try that, I should mention that you don't want to use a flash. You may find shaded areas too dark to get a sharp focus. I've had the most luck on overcast days when there's plenty of diffused light, and no harsh shadows. I place the snake in an unshaded area and shoot. Below is a pic I took the other day. Here in Cleveland we have many overcast days!
