The Verdict is in on the Mystery Mojave

fgs Jun 21, 2008 05:31 PM

Well it looks like a false call on my part. The only mystery was in my dreams.

As hopeful as I was I knew it was a long shot.

I'm sorry for jumping the gun on what I thought was a very different look.

It was fun living the dream for a few days, but now I'm awake and it looks like I'll have to settle for a beautiful group of blushing mohaves. I can't wait to see how these guys look after their first shed.

Thanks for your input and education.

Congrats either way!!

It felt great, but there was always a little doubt.

Brian,

Don't be too hard on yourself. I think quite a few folks have been led down the primrose path by gazing at a morph still IN the egg -- I was earlier this season --twice. Like your Mojaves they turned out to be really nice examples of a morph. "MY" new rule: Don't make any even a semi-firm judgement until AFTER the first shed. Congrats on making some nice ones!

I went down that SAME path last year. The way I see it is you can't get excited about it then get the hell out of it. A nice clutch though. I'm still waiting on three crystal x clutches. First one should be out in about a week or so.

I do the same thing with EVERY clutch I get. I always think I have something I don't. That's half the fun.

Brian

I remember afew Years ago hatching some albinos and I cut them open just enough to see in, and thought I had something extra nice..lol. It was just a Het male and I slowly watched the colors of this super darker Red almost Morph looking Animal turn into a Het for Albino Male..

I bet You were geeked to think it was some kind of Cyrstal... Tom see what You've done.lol. Those are some really sweet Mojaves they're so blushed out Congrats on those screamers.

You are producing above-average Mojaves and reported your findings to everyone, even if it was not what you had hoped. It's all part of the game! Sure makes breeding ball pythons exciting compared to breeding other types of animals!

Congratulations on the very nice Mojaves

Bristen.

Are you kidding me? Maybe they are no mystery, but they are beautiful, quality little snakes!!! Congrats!!

Their offsprings will really clean up some other morphs.
