I couldn't imagine what anyone told you other than that it's a Ball Python?

Scientific name: Python regius
Common name in the U.S.: Ball Pyton
Common name everywhere else: Royal Python
Looks like completely standard wild type coloration to me too.

What else were you told it was?

All white belly, and black back, was suggested it might be a black back, or black pastel, which I didn't think myself, but I wasn't sure, wanted to get further help. She was/is a rescue and is super tame, and 1900 grams. Picked her up for $40 with a 40 gallon critter cage and heat pad. In any case, normal or not, she will be loved along with my pastel and others. Thanks for your replys!

Go to the Ball Python forum with this link I included below,...there you will be able to find out if it is any one of the zillion Ball Python morphs out there.

It looks normal to me too, but it seems that if there's one little minute difference(one extra dot) on them, they're considered a new "morph" by many!..LOL!

No offense to all Ball Python owners but by golly you flat nailed that one, Doug. Ha! Ha! Ha! I thought I had a new morph once but it turned out to be a few mites on the BP. Dang it! I glued 'em in place & renamed it.

Thanks for the laugh!

Catch ya later!
