Can you keep full size adult burms in a rack? If so what size container?

The largest container I have is the one for X mas trees, and my boa fit nice in that and she is about 6-7 ft. So an adult burm would not be a good fit. That is one I built, however there is an 8 ft rack system that I looked at, it had three cages with it, and that would be good, I think it was from freedom breeder. You could always make your own with wood to any size.

I would not try a rack system. Let alone the full size of an adult burm but the wieght. I can't think of pulling open a tub with a big burm in it. Just my opinion.

yea....
I agree-- pulling a tub around with a big burm in it... sounds... difficult...

There are some cages made by Animal Plastics- the T70 -- 8ft long, 3ft wide, 2ft tall--- You could easily stack 2-3 of those and have a rather.... large rack.

I think in 2 years, we'll be retiring our current big cages, and getting 6 T70's. The shipping on these is going to be a bit high- but they are phenominal cages! The T-70's are $575- but will last for a LONG time!

I have some of thier smaller cages- VERY affordable, VERY durable, easy to clean-- I have the sliding glass doors with locks- and I LOVE them!! We are slowly phasing out are old cages- going to all AP!!

Rottenweiler9 was right. Freedom Breeder has racks for big snakes. Here is the link http://www.freedombreeder.com/cage.php?cageID=12

I know of the freedom breeder racks, I have a rat breeder rack with 4 big tubs. I just don't know if a full grown burm would be good in one of those racks. I could be wrong though.

I agree with your points about sliding a big burm out. There may be some saftey issues there. Nothing like opening up and seeing a mouth and theeth flying at you. That would get old.

However I do not think that they would make a rack that big that could not handle a snake that large. Just my thought, plus you have to really think about it, how many of them get to be monsters of that large size and if they did, then no a rack is not good. I just use the one I had she was 13 ft 100lbs, I think that is OK size and maybe a little bigger, but when you go to 150 plus again another story.

No way would that burm fit into that tub. I was talking about the 8ft freedom breeder cages. My boa fit nice in the tubs and that was almost to small for her and she is 7 ft or so.

Hahahahahaha

OK so here is what I got, my 20 ft 300 lbs burm is in my tub rack system, built with nails. Hhahahahhaa Just kidding.
