Anyone keeps these? I was given an adult male 13 years ago by a pet shop owner who said it was scaring customers by hissing and striking the cage front. It remains an e-vile animal to the point that I use a hook to manage it while doing maintenance.

It occurs naturally where saw scale vipers are found and, from it's demeanor, I would bet it is a saw scale viper mimic. I'd like to hear from anyone keeping this species. Has anyone accomplished taming one to the point of being handleable?

I had a pair. The female was gentle and both my boys loved to hold her.My male was stark raving mad.He never bluffed. My female died eggbound and I gave the male away. There suppose to be mildy venomous and they are rear fanged. With the exception of blood loss I never suffered any effects.
