Help with Sexing

Since a fair number of people have had questions about sexing southern als I decided to take and post this picture. The lizard on top is a male and the one on the bottom is a female. Note the male's broader more triangular head. Note, however, that this characteristic is only present in mature males.

Thanks for posting these pictures, all of them. I am enjoying them. I had no idea al's were so varied in their colors! I like the pic of all the adults together. And the head shot is great.

The best way is to grab them from the wild so fast they crap all over you while the hemipens pop out!
