? about Jags & Hypo Jags

JDouglas Sep 02, 2003 12:09 AM

This whole naming thing confused me, and I was just wondering how this trait was discovered, and how this trait works genetically. I read somewhere jungles were crossed with coastals to make Jags? Is this true or are Jags 100% Jungle carpets? Are Hypo Jaguars just a brighter more yellow Jag, which when bred to a normal Jag would give you a diverse litter with a few Jags being screamers(Hypo), or is it an all or nothing deal?
If "Hypo Jags" are not really hypo anything, how is this trait passed on?
If you breed two Hypo Jags are the offspring all Hypo Jags?
Could someone give me a brief explanantion of the genetics & inheritance of Hypo Jags and a clear cut explanation or definition of what they are?

Thank you
