what do you guys think?

I am scrathcing my head about these hatchlings. I purchased the parents as a pair of hypo stripes het anery and amel from a reputable breeder. The parents are full siblings and clutch mates. The first pic is of the first to hatch out 2 nights ago. SInce then 4 others have hatched and look identical. I would think that I would also get at least one ghost, amel or snow so far no go. I know it's only 5 out of the egg so far. What do you guys think about? Hypo stripe hatchling or normal striped?

Here are pics of the parents

Thanks.

Well, there may be an answer...You know there are several types of hypo.
Considering the parents do look hypo and are obviously stripe it may be possible that there was one of the other hypos in the mix. This would be about the only way I can think of to breed two hypo stripes and get normal stripes. And that hatchling definitely looks like a normal stripe to me.

I now believe that the one pictured is a normal striped. Thanks guys and thanks Don S. for the email. At least the hets worked out. All but one egg has hatched and there is one amel and one anery stripe with another amel stripe in the last egg. No ghosts or snows but it was a small clutch of only 12 eggs so next year should be better.

I would contact the breeder and ask if he is aware of other hypo genes that might be in the line.

-=-
What might be worth doing, not individually but maybe as a hobby spread out amongst some individuals, is to have some lines that are known to carry one and only one type of hypo so that hypos of unknown line could be tested to see what is going on and new hypo genes identified.

It wouldn't surprise me if there are several different hypos that can't visually be told apart but are not allelic, I know the same thing happens in Cal Kings with hypos and lavenders.
