Digit is doing great

TootsieandDigit Jun 23, 2008 06:16 PM

I have introduced Digit and Tootsie and all is well so far. Of course they were not unsupervised at all.

Pics attached of them together and then of just Digit enjoying the sunshine today.

You're welcome, Cindy. Enjoy the little booger.

Now look at that face!! How in the world could anyone deny that face anything it wanted?!!!!

You're a bad influence on me posting pics like that. I don't need any other lizards but that pic makes me want to expand while I'm trying to semi-retire and keep everything on a small level. Great looking lizard!!!!!!TC

Thanks for the nice comments, Tom. Azul has his fair share of battle scars since he's quite the scrapper when he gets the chance but I think he's beautiful and a real character. He does a good deal of educating for the IRCF when we attend events here in Michigan and in Illinois. I wouldn't trade him for anything!!

I have beardies and a uro, but I adore my three tegus!!

I have to admit that I love my little ig. He's not quite as friendly yet, we've got a long ways to go yet. He's still a little guy.

Tegus are awesome! We just got an old man Argentine into the rescue, supposedly 16 years old. He's a sweetie.

One of my boys, Felix

Beth, so sorry to be tardy in replying but you know what life has been like. LOL I'm glad that you are here on the forum and hope that you continue to keep us updated on Toots and Digit. I feel confident that I have placed them in capable hands and feel fortunate that I get to actually visit with them occasionally. Same with Tilda and Darwin.

I think I warned you early on that these animals can be addictive. The more you learn, the more species that you are introduced to, the more you watch their behaviors and learn their personalities, the more hooked you are!

Welcome aboard! I'm sure you will find it an exciting train ride.

P.S. Just let me know when we can deliver that Ball Python for Bill.

Beth,I haven't visited the forum in a while after having to partwith Digit.  I happened to come today and saw the post.It does my heart good to see him in a home that I know willcare for him and love him as I have the past 5 years.  I knowthat Jane has probably given you some background so I won'tgo into it.  Parting with him was one of the hardest thingsI've ever had to do. I just couldn't live with the asthmaand trips to the emergency room and walk-in clinics.  I couldno longer give Digit the attention he deserved.I wanted you to know that he loves women and soon you willbe able to cuddle with him.  He especially likes to cuddle afterhis baths.  I wanted to show you some baby pictures of him. That's right, I have kept a book with pictures of him atdifferent ages.  I have attached them.A little background:  I adopted him from a shelter in Appleton,WI.  He was only a few months old and had a broken leg.  Myvet put a little cast on it for several weeks to allow healing. He can be hard to deal with during breeding season!  Usuallyabout October through January.  Protect your other ig duringthis time.  If you give him a towel, it helps.  He has nevertried to hurt me but I feel sorry for the towel!  He may not hurt it but just be careful.  He is very trustworthy otherwiseand very friendly.Enjoy the pics and keep us updated.PS:  His nickname is "monster man".  I called him that allthe time. The first two are at adoption and 6 months of age

Here he is at 9 months, one year and three years.
