Well was too late to save a noble creature

I have jsut returned from INverness, Florida, and sadly was nt on time to save a very nice Eastern Diamondback from some imbrees rednecked moron, that to kill the snake had to drive off the raod off the shoulder of road. The snake was a beautiful 5 footer--didn't bother to sex it but noticed that the snake died apparently for it's tail what a crime and a shame that people still exist to believe that they should treat animals in such incredible distain, is baffling indeed. I know that there are almost certianly other EDB's in the general area, but was first of that size I had seen. One wonders what the state of florida's wildlife population will be in , in about 20 years or so with mental midgets like that roaming the area. On a better note found a beautiful rat snake ( juvie ) simply beautiful orange background color.

Last year I was road cruising and came upon a very nice northern pacific on the side of the highway. I parked on the shoulder of the road, got out, and started walking towards the snake. I was probably not ten feet from the snake, which was on the side about 6 inches from the white line. A subaru outback came up doing about 65mph,saw the snake, swurved over on the side of the road and hit it right in front of me! Needless to say, if I wasn't of totally sound mind, my snake hook would have been through their back window! Man I hate that! Last time I was driving through Nevada late at night, I saw a 4x4 swurve about half a mile infront of us, we thought that an animal ran out in front of him, well when we got there the beautiful panamint was still squirming! ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!
