prasina cage landscaping

drunk_on_chivas Sep 02, 2003 02:22 AM

does anyone have any pics of how they landscape their prasina cage?? i keep mine in a 2.5x2.0x1.5 glass aquarium with a small viney plant and some sticks for it to perch on. I've put in a water bowl but i'm starting to notice that it doesn't drink from bowls hehe. Any ideas and pics on how to landscape a prasina's home?

wow..u've got your prasina's in a pretty cosy home there.ARe those 2 compartments joined or separated?? got it custom made yourself??
how do u feed your prasina's? do u just throw the geckos in and wait? cause my prasina sometimes has trouble locating the gecko due to camouflage and i have to poke the gecko into the prasina's site. Its kinda troublesome sometimes....

The cage I made myself, but I originally designed it for chondro's. The cage can be split up into two seperate compartments if need be. As for the feeding....I do it like you. I place the gekko on the walls of the cage infront of the snakes face. Sometimes you need to chace it around a bit before it gets eaten. But its worth it, when the snake finally grabs it.
well best of luck,
pj

I have allways used a standard 10gl tank (upgrading as they grew). They do fine on Bark or Spagnum. Misting a couple times a day will solve the drinking problem. Mine (prasina and nasuta) love to munch on anoles. Frank
