Double clutching?

patd Jun 24, 2008 12:38 PM

Do gray bands normally double clutch? My 3 year old laid 10 eggs yesterday and I am wondering if I should reintroduce the male. Thanks for your help

They are not near as prone as something like a cornsnake is. If she is healthy and of good weight, I would say go for it. last year, I doubled a large female and I think I got a total of 28 good eggs from her. This year, I gave her the year off (from doubling), and only got 14 eggs from her.
