A Papuan Ground Boa from the local pet store for 40 bucks...Is that a good deal?...It is a feisty, snappy litle thing...he or she is about 18 inches long...I will post pics when we pick it up

Anything is a good deal as long as your happy.

Link for Candoia species...it is a little slow but someone should answer.
Being observant I would say Jerry Conway knows this genera quite well.
The Brazilian Rainbow Boa forum group seem to love all snakes as well.

also you may want to have a looksi at the below link to some info you should definitely read going along with your new acquisition also you should google away if you want to get some intel into what you as a keeper need to know.
