Mite concern ?

reticme Jun 24, 2008 06:11 PM

I enjoy letting my tiger loose in the front yard , i figure it's great excersise and he seems to enjoy it. I have yet to see any signs of mites , but is it a concern from being outside ? If so can anyone recommend a preventative . One more question with shipping cost through the roof i like to order frozen rabbits in bulk , but how long are they good in the freezer before they start loosing nutrtional value ?

i've not had a problem with mites from outside.... you could wipe him down with reptile relief if you're too concerned.

I've kept rabbits in the freezer about 8 months before- with out having problems.
They were vacuume sealed and in a deep freeze... it does make a difference deep freeze to regular fridge/freezer...
