Well here's my Breeder group for next season.... and a question about waxies

bigguykev36 Sep 02, 2003 05:10 AM

Here they are....

And how many waxies should your leos eat? I want to get some, but the smallest amount I can get is either 50 or 100. and I only have 3 leos taht might eat worms.... would it be a waste of money? I mainly want them for my male, because he's a little on the slender side, and I want him to pack on a few more pounds! thanks!

I have a question - why in heaven's name would you want to put more weight on him.

In my opinion your male looks just fine. You don't want your males to be chubby bunnies - they do much better being healthy and leaner, in my opinion. He certainly doesn't need waxies.

Looks like you have a nice breeding group!! Good luck.

Mealworms . . . .you can't eat just one

I think he wants to get his weight up I think its like only 20 grams or so.

And for wax worms
Just start off with the 50. The stay alive for a long time in the fridge I bought 250 of them back in march or so thinking I have 3 leos and plan on getting more so that would be ok. Now I have 6 leos and only 3 like them lol. Just when you give the waxies to your leos do it as a treat cuz they are real addicting.

Maybe I just bought an old container, but my box of 50 didn't even last more than a couple of weeks before they all started turning black. I think I ended up being able to feed only half of them to my leos.

I also think leaving a bowl of mealworms in the tank at all times is a GREAT way to put weight on a leo. It got my male nice a robust. lol

And Kev, you have a great line-up. I love the name Mokey. I was going to name my puppy that a long time ago, but nobody else liked that name. lol
