Lavender vs High contrast.......

shot Jun 24, 2008 10:28 PM

What is the big difference between lavender albinos and high contrast albinos besides the price? I am new to balls and I really cant tell. Thanks for any input.

Lavender albinos actually have a purple tint to them in the areas that are white in normal albinos. Hence the name lavender albinos. From what I hear, they actually get more purple with age. I don't have one in my collection, but I'm sure someone would be able to post a pic to show you the difference.

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think High contrast albinos and lavenders are compatible.

This is an old pic and isn't the best, but it contrasts a lavender albino next to a regular albino. I try to snap a couple new pics this morning and post later.

Here are a couple of pictures of two different lavender albino males along side of a regular albino that I just snapped this morning under the florescent lights in our snake room. It is always hard to capture the colors on a lavender which is made worse by the fact I am a terrible photographer and the boys just wouldn't cooperate and hold still.

Those pictures do it! Lavenders are totally different and beautiful as hell.

Thanks for the pics.
