Our Black Rat Snakes

corythreatt Jun 25, 2008 07:56 PM

Dar and Boris, the larger of the 2. Both very even-tempered for WC's. Actually, Dar (smaller of the 2) is the true WC. Boris was a rescue from some people who think snakes are better dead. Thankfully, they gave me the option to save him or her first. He's almost 4 feet long and quite strong so until we know otherwise we're considering it a "HE".

I like those. They're almost solid black. Here in Ohio, they tend to have more pattern.

Those are very nice looking-where are they from?

corythreatt Jun 26, 2008 03:19 PM

Rock Hill, SC. Northern part of the state...almost on the North Carolina/South Carolina Border. Both are incredibly docile...no attempts to bite...only one musking but that was during a failed attempt to get the smaller one to stretch out so we could get a feel for it's actual length...

Great snakes.
