Butter corn?

buddygrout Jun 26, 2008 05:29 PM

A former student of mine brought me this snake and a snow corn both appear about 2 years old. He gave them to me with a 20 long tank where he kept them together. There are occasional perks to being a science teacher. He said he was tired of caring for them and wanted to make sure they were well cared for. They now each have their individual cages. Oh, my ? was is this the morph called butter corn? If not what morph? Buddy.

Buddy,..that definitely looks to be a creamsicle, a cornsnake x emoryi cross. If it was a Butter, it would be MUCH yellower at that size/age.

I'm going to have to go along with everyone else.

Oh yeah,
a creamsicle is a corn snake/great plains rat snake (emoryi) cross expressing amelanism.
amelanism is the removal of melanin (black)

Thanks for all the responses, I guess the difference is the amount of orange vs. yellow/white? She is definitely a good eater. I noticed I need to pay more attention to my sentence structure. Here is another rat snake from my collection. Buddy.
