Rack Build Q?

IkeLightner Jun 26, 2008 08:52 PM

Hey all,

I just received a shipment of the IRIS VE-175 tubs whch I am going to build a rack around. My main question is what size gap should I leave between the top of the tubs and the next shelf (aka the lid) in my rack? Also I was wanting to leave the option for future litters to be born in these tubs, what would you all suggest? As of now I'm not planning on using the lids but I have them if need be. Thanks!

If you want it baby proof, then fairly tight, maybe 1/16 - 3/32. I lot depends on the tub itself, how flexible ar ethe rims, any ribs babies can get up on and get leverage.
