Please check my post at BP forum so I don't have to type it all again if you would.
I've been told this is the place to come for accurate info.
Thanks!

What about the rest of the thread? I think I've diagnosed it as that and am trying to fix the problem. Sound like I'm on the right track?
Scale rot sounds worse than it really is eh?

WELL.... it depends on the snake i think.. i have a cal king who loves to dump her water bowl over and if i dont catch it ASAP she gets scale rot easily. I think shes just "special" but usually i keep her dry- take the water from her and only give the water bowl to her and place her head near the water so she can drink. i dont usually leave the water in there when shes having an "Attack". she usually sheds it off with a shed or 2. but try to keep the humidity lower and if you catch it soaking take the water away. I'm sure there are people here who have a better explanation, but i've never had it on my BPs. Only that 1 cal king. i hope someone with better experience with BPs can chime in.. but thats what i do,... and make sure the tank is clean of poo!!! i've seen a petstore once with poo everywhere and the snake had scale rot b/c the poo was stuck all over the snake. it was really gross!!!
