Update

When I got home from work today, she was just starting to move around a bit. I waited until she finished her drink before taking her out of the tank. I held her for a bit before giving her the shot. There was still a little popping from her breathing, so the RI isn't done yet!

There were 9 slugs in there with her. There may be more on the way - I'm not entirely sure. Do I just throw them out? If I keep them, will they rot and stink? Are they good on toast? (Ok, I was kidding with that last one.)

I offered her a mouse pinky but she had no interest in that. She even seemed a bit repulsed by it.

She seems pretty weak right now, but no food for a while, an infection, and dropping a significant percentage of your own body mass out your butt would make anybody weak!

That is very typical, and exactly what I would expect.

This is one of those ....."only time will tell" deals!

Yes,...I would toss the eggs, they aren't any good to anyone, or anything.

What seems to be the temp where she is most often found?,....hopefully you are keeping a close eye on that as well as everything else that pertains to her at this crutial time.

Oh well,...more waiting is all you can do here. (shrug)

When she laid the eggs, she was right between the two heat lamps. The thermometer is on the warmer side and that was 87-89. Right now she is in the water bowl (which is also between the lamps). If you want to see her live, go to http://sirjorj.com:44444
Feel free to check it out but don't just leave it open for extended periods of time - it kinda kills my upstream bandwidth!

Just another quick update. Todays shot went really well ( I still hate doing that!) and while I held her, I heard no popping or wheezing. She still seems a bit weak but I am actually feeling pretty optimistic about this whole thing now. I will offer her a pinky again in a few days and we'll see if her appetite is back.
