Okay, so I bought Eddie on the fifteenth of February (this year) from Petsmart. He just shed again today, so I took him out of his tank for some new pictures. I couldn't get him outside, safely, since I didn't have any help. (he's so fast!) Hopefully, my digital on the twilight setting with minimal flash might work...

Oh yeah, he loves to eat. ^_^ I just ordered 50 small mice, they'll be here in about a week and a half. I still have 2 mice from the Arctic Mice pack I bought him at Petsmart a couple weeks ago, so he'll be good next week until I get the big order. This week he ate one small mouse and the last leftover fuzzy I had. He was eating two fuzzies a week until I moved him up to small mice. I think he's getting to where he'll easily eat two small mice per week.

Anyone think this is too much, or am I about right? I think he's about nine months old or so. Hard to know his exact age... Petsmart doesn't keep track of that.

Well there is a big difference, he looks a lot fatter and healthier now then when you first got him.

I opened my mouth and out flowed a melody black.

Thanks... I just love him to death. I'm hoping that when he gets a bit older and bigger, he won't musk quite as often. These days when I pick him up, I carefully dangle his tail over his tank, until he's done musking, or I take him straight to the bathroom sink and let him do the musking there. He settles down a lot quicker these days than he used to.

When he gets more accustomed to you he will stop doing that. He is just using one of his defense mechanisms because he is protecting himself from what appears to him to be a predator. Imagine a predator getting a taste and whiff of that!!!

No, but he sure likes to wear the mice fur after he's eaten them... and I caught him sporting a shed from one of the cornsnakes the other day...
