intergrade breeding eastern with western

murdoch Jun 27, 2008 09:56 PM

no flames please, but have to ask the obvious here, especially since there is natural range overlap;
has anyone had experience interbreeding eastern with western hogs to produce animals with preference for mice but retaining some of the more colorful eastern patterns/colors?

what have been the experiences?

It wouldn't be an intergrade, they are different species, not different subspecies

H. platyrhinos and H. nasicus.
