Angry female ?

I have a 4 year old red pastel het coral albino female that cannot stand to have a male in with her.I'll put the male in and she freaks out and starts open mouthed hissing and tail lashing. Has this happened to anybody else? She is definitely big enough to breed but doesnt seem to like any males.Any comments would be appreciated. I've had this girl for 2 years now and she is very healthy and eats great and I think she would make some great sunglows if she would just cooperate with me.

Well I haven't bred yet, so I have not had this happen, but I do have an idea. Maybe you could take her and the male you'd like to breed her with out at the same time. Just let them explore themselves on their own, don't put them together right away. After she's comfortable with him while their out, then you could try in the cage. Just an idea! Some experienced breeders could probably help you out more. Good luck!

Mike try putting her in his cage. Or a cage he is in before she is put into. This might help. Keith
