had a bit of experience at this lately all of mine have been found within about 4ft of their cage. One in some waiting to be cleaned water bowls, one in a some tubs stored up very high on top of cages, and the last one behind a wooden cupboard (this one i found be running my hands as far as they could reach behind it, i couldnt see her, but could feel her, then could move what was needed to get her.

best advice, start at her cage and move outwards up and down, check out heatmats if you got other snakes in the room, and search where you 100% certain she cant get to, cos 99% chance thats where she will be

They are attracted to three things while on the lamb...

1) Tight spaces
2) Warmth
3) Moisture

Quite often found in bathrooms even in the toilet.

And like Dave said, VERY often quite close to the cage they escaped from.

If they can squeeze through, they will, case in point this adult male Boa caught escaping from a partially unlocked cage...

He was done breeding the female he was with and "outa there"!!

Leave out water and heat pads with a moss hide on top, do all your searching at night, that's when he's more likely to be out and about. No real "traps" I know of but you can leave a live mouse in a cage the snake can't get into. Ouuu, stack up empty beer/soda cans around the mouse and along walls etc. Then if the snake slithers by might make some noise. And get your attention.

Don't give up hope, there have been counts of BRB's missing for 3 months that I know of that was found alive and successfully nursed back to health. I rescued one that was gone a month and hardly missed a beat. So keep looking, even if you haven't had a sign from him/her in a while. Oh... and don't disregard those peculiar creeks from behind the cabinets, they can get back there! Good Luck!
