whats pastel????

is a pastel only a color or is it genetics will a pastel x pastel produce pastel babies?

Pastel is a polygenic trait (multiple genes working together through selective breeding) by definition a pastel (Jeff Ronne founded and coined the term) it is a reduction of black through out the pattern, color is a side effect, BUT it is not a required condition. With good selection of animals you can end up with awesome results. This one below is a Pastel Dream (one of Ronne's lines) that was produced about a month ago by a good friend Linda Demadura (hope I spelled that right Linda lol) It is fairly clean and happens to have a ton of color.
