bird seed

Hello,

I have read that I should add bird seed to my mali's diet. What type of birds seed should I get?

Gene, I use finch seed mix with no vitamins added. I keep a dish of it mixed with ground dry, uncooked beans in their vivs at all times.

My Mali loves Sorghum, those are the round reddish seeds in commercial bird seed mixes. He picks them out and only eats them.
