Wild caught bulls?

sgoodson1 Sep 02, 2003 12:12 PM

I got a wild caught bull from around the big bend area of texas she is very light and bright with a pastel down the second half of her back with very light creme colors with jet black sadles. Are they commanly like this? I will post pictures in a couple of days, but would like to see some regular bulls with some color if any one has pic's. The pastel is almost pink and or orange mixed. Thanks Scott Ps shes at 2 ft now and thick as a nickel

Depending on what you are calling the big bend area, what you probally have is one of the reallly pretty sonorans or a intergrade bull/sonoran. In talking with Dr. Price and from what I have seen over the years the basic intergrade line is sanderson south are bulls and alpine north being sonorans and intergrades in the middle. The intergrades and the sonorans form that area are really light pretty animals, espicially the ones from around presidio with a pastel blue in the colors.

Yes my son will be there with an assortment of animals, a few bulls, northerns, ajni, deppei, kings, milks and corns etc. about 500 animals all in all I believe. Some we produced, some were bought from others as we are still rebuilding the collection.

See you there stop by and introduce yourself.
