Kinked tails

CrazyGecko Jun 29, 2008 12:41 PM

I have been doing alot of searching around lately and noticed a few baby geckos out there with kinked tails and now I have a question. lol
Is this a genetic trait that can be passed on to the young or is it a birth defect that just randomly happens?

i was looking into some geckos with kinked tails. I was told that it was an incubation defect and that it was not genetic. i wasnt able to get them and breed to find out for sure if it was genetic or not, so im sticking with incubation defect. i was told that if bred, the kinked tail would not show in the hatchlings.
