caramel lavander?

adamjeffery Jun 29, 2008 12:43 PM

has anybody bred the caramel gene into lavander and produced a homozygous aniaml yet?
the reason im asking is a buddy of mine bred a butter to a hypo lavander this year and i was thinking about maby getting a few of the babies to see what pops out, im just not sure if the lavander and caramel genes cancel each other out or if they affect each other in weird ways or what.
any experiences with this combo let me know.

according to the cornsnake morph guide by charles pritzel.,.

"Caramel Lavender This combination is still new and it is unknown what the typical look will be." BUT they have a pic of a baby beside the above saying. and the photo is by Kat Hall of cornQuest. Looks pretty lavender to me though....

I have some normal multi het's from breeding a Caramel female to an Opal male. The should be breedable in a year or so.

Was it Deon?,......if so, I have one of his neonate Hypo Lavender's, so I would certainly appreciate knowing any other additional info on it's genetic backround. Here is a pic of the youngster and the parents. However, he didn't tell me which parent is male or female yet.

thanks, man!, ~Doug

i would like to clarify that all projects are worth it but space is limited around here and i really have to be picky about getting into new territory.
