Egg coloration

wvherp Jun 29, 2008 02:20 PM

Hi all. I have a clutch of 14 eggs hatched about 3 weeks ago. They are in a ventilated sweater box with moist sphagnum and are kept at 82-83 degrees. They look great on the top. I looked at the bottom of them and they appear a little tan and one looks a little swollen. Is this normal as they are sitting in the sphagnum? No mold has been found on them. Will try to get pics downloaded.
Thanks
Joel

the sphagnum will discolor them a little. No problem.
