Do Snakes Grow Back Teeth?

aanata1 Jun 29, 2008 10:26 PM

I had one today snap the little end of her tooth on my tongs when I fed her. And I've read about this a few times, but I have no clue. Another dumb one, I know, but if I don't ask now... then I'll really look stupid!

Snakes do regrow their teeth. Had a few corn snakes loose their teeth in my hand.

OUCH! At least for me it was just on a pair of tongs. Thanks!

Snakes lose and regrow teeth regularly. If you carefully look at fecal samples you will teeth in them fairly often. When you get bitten by a snake they fairly often leave teeth imbedded in your skin.
