Some of you know I don't have much luck with Pythons, I finally hatched a few. These are Cape York Spotteds and though most of the clutch bombed on me I have a few nice babies.

Wow those are really neat! I know you said they were babies but I had no idea the scale we were talking about, I was surprised to see that last photo! That's about half the size I pictured. Very cool.

These little Pythons are a lot of fun. They are really just scaled down versions of the kinds that seem to get a lot of bad press. They may not be colorful, but they're really cool pets. I love mine.

It is a quote from Alice Cooper.
Another I like from OZZY is...
"Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most"
LOL!!

When you said the clutch bombed, do you mean during incubation? What temps did you use?
-----
Mark
Yes, they started going to poop during incubation. I used a Hovabator. Last year I tried them colubrid style in vermiculite and lost every egg. This time I did them on some wire mesh that suspended them over soaking wet perlite. The incubator seemed to hold fine at 88. Not sure why they dimpled early but I may try a better incubator next season. At least I got 4 this time.

You did the right thing suspending them.
I was told not to use a hovabator for python eggs. I built one at home and hatched 5 of 8. The 3 that died were on the perlite. I haven't had eggs since I learned to suspend them. I made more of these incubators and I already like them better than the hovabators, which I no long use.
