Nice Red Head

snake_bit Jun 30, 2008 11:18 PM

Any of you guys notice that the milks have cut back on feeding ?
Some of mine that ate anything I gave them two weeks ago may take live pinks now but wont take FT pinks. At least not the way they did earlier in the month.

This Nebraska male wants scented fuzzies

Doug,
All my multistrata stock is still eating good. I have some animals that go off feed in late July, and eat only once in a while after that. Most of my animals eat in to August then shut down.
Nice red head. Nebraska, you say? Is that a intergrade animal?

I'll say it again Doug... damn nice snake! As for answering your question I'll defer to the guys out west... I have personally noticed alot of my smaller milks will 'turn on' in spring and gorge themselves till the warmer temps hit. Once it's hot down here they tend to eat smaller meals and remain less active -- weird since my room stays @ a very constant temperature. This is not true, however, for scarlets... Once they really get going they will eat themselves into obeisity... which is actually a problem.

Later,
Chris

Some how I can't picture a obese scarlet king.) but if one of those females gets too fat for you Chris send her up north. I have a male that likes em' that way
What temp do you keep your snake room Chris ?

This is Bandit my boxer, after he found out that box turtles eat dog food
