The sulcata forum is very inactive, so does anyone here know if I can put aspen bedding in the sulcata houses? I keep mulch in there now, but I want to change it soon, and I'm just wanting to know if I can put aspen in there before I buy it.

Aspen bedding for sulcatas?

I have a friend that is a bona fide tortoise expert, and he uses some aspen for his indoor Hermann's tortoises. He avoided for fear of impaction, but finally decided to use it and hasn't had any problems.
I think that most would recommend shredded newspaper over aspen.
