'04 female --- my freebie

Morgans Boas Jul 01, 2008 12:30 PM

This is the '04 girl that I got for free. Dark saddles, and wierd colors make a neat contrast. The paper that came with her said "Leticia", I don't know though. Her scales are rougher than most of my other Boas, almost like a beaded lizard. Does anyone know of any characteristics of Leticia's ? Are their scales counts different than other Colombians ? Thanks, D

I had an animal that felt like that too one time. It was because he ate a bad rat and shed out his colors. Some of his scales went with it. The texture of the scales was different from then on out. Water didn't bead on him properly either. I kept him for a year and a half after the incident until I knew he was healthy again and that it was definitely the food that caused the problem and I adopted him out to a loving home.

Thanks, but unless she ate something when she was under a year old that changed her, she's always been this way, and has been raised here on my rodents along with the rest of my collection. I have another girl with slightly rougher scales that I bought from Rich Ihle. She's perfect in every way and seeming to want to be a big girl . This is her last year.

I've got a boa here that I produced that is similar. She has never regurged, had a bad rat, etc. She just has a "beaded" feel to her, always has.
