Sulfur Mojave YB Pics

Eric Sandoval Jul 01, 2008 06:14 PM

Was taking some pics today and thought I'd get some updated ones of this little girl. She's starting to fade out and get some nice color to her. If she is anything like the sulfur mojaves she'll get lighter over the next couple years.

Thanks for looking,
Eric

Very nice!

I was trying to refresh my memory on sulfur and I found a pre lay in shed pick of what I suppose might be the sulfur mojave mother of this one.

Would you say that the yellow belly is responsible for the stripe and the side pattern and the sulfur more for the color, especially with age?

If you get a chance an updated pick with an older sulfur mojave and a just plain sulfur would help.

Thanks.

This is the original Sulfur female. We are not sure if the Sulfur offspring are EXACTLY the same as the original female.

Eric's Sulfur Mojave YB is my favorite cross as of now!

The bottom pic's cage is not quite up to par, she was gravid in the pic, and I was trying to leave her alone as much as possible.

Emberball how do I get the sulfur in this line of super stripe?? Email me. Thanks

Call Eric, I think he might have a nice male laying around. I will not have any for a month or more.

The majority of the sulfur mojaves I've hatched are moderately striped and have a little different side pattern than normal mojaves. I think the yb just kicked everything up a notch. The color definitely comes from the sulfur. If I remember correctly the yb mojave, I think it was the Sutherlands that hatched one out, is darker than a normal mojave. I'll work on those pics for you tomorrow. Also, with any luck I should have a super sulfur in 90 days or so.

Hey Randy, here is one of Eric's Sulfur's , it's a codom Hypo that is alot like a fireball I think, even the belly markings are about identical.. I think they will be fun to breed into some other codom Hypo lines to see what you get.. I really hope the Super gets made this year by either David or Eric! Anthony McCain.

I just took most of these today. The one thing I can't get to show in the pics is the amount of yellow. Dave did a good job with the name because that's the best description, for the shade of yellow, I can give. The flash washes out the sulfur yellow on the sulfur mojaves.
Thanks for the nice replies everyone. If I hit the super in 90 days I'll get it up here as soon as it hatches.

Thanks,
Eric

Nice snake! Thanks for posting updated pics of the sulfur yb mojave. I remember seeing pics of hatchlings/younger snakes. It's cool to see what they look like as they grow up. More often than not, you see hatchling pics and that's it.

Is that a Mojave SuperStripe we're looking at?? hmmm...

Anyone made a Sulfur YellowBelly??
If so, does it look like the SuperStripes??

Beautiful snake, Eric.

I thought the same thing originally. After a few weeks I went back through the entire clutch and noticed I did hatch a sulfur YB. I put pic of her in the reply titled Some More Pics.

Thanks,
Eric
