new to tortoises

Raggid Jul 01, 2008 09:22 PM

hey, i've been looking to get a couple of leopard tortoises and i was just wondering about their diet and housing. i have a 20 gallon i would put them in just temporarily and then move them up to a 40 gallon when they get bigger and so on and so on. but a couple of things that i was wondering was, do they need UV lighting? should they have heat pads or only heat coming from the top of the cage? what should their diet consist of? do they need alot of humidity? or not really much at all? thanks in advance for any help, i'm going to make sure i do my research and get a cage correctly set up before i get them.
